Our Story

Hi! We are the Ledford Family!

Chad and I met our freshman year at Appalachian State University and with that, our story truly begins here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Over the past (almost) 20 years, we have stayed within driving distance of this beautiful place and it is a dream come true to have Sleepy Bear Lodge in our lives. Since closing on the property in December 2020, we have spent all of our weekends redesigning the spaces here for our family and yours. All four of us have taken part in making Sleepy Bear Lodge a special place. Our daughter has curated the books + fairy garden while our son has taken care of the video game collection and trail mapping. It has been a wonderful experience for our family and we can’t wait to share it with yours.
